David has leveraged his mathematics background to build the core technology behind Routefriend. He holds degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Caltech and in Social Anthropology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK, where his research applied graph theory to kinship structures. He has previously performed applied physics research at the MITRE Corporation, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. Before founding Routefriend, David was responsible for advanced analytics on a major market research initiative led by Nielsen. In his youth David navigated the transportation networks of the Middle East and Eastern Europe, traveling and working for humanitarian organizations.
